Simply put, Meniere’s disease is a terrible experience. It will rob you of your life, if you let it.
If this is the case for you, I hope this blog can help. In it, I will share different remedies that work for different people in their quest to conquer Meniere’s disease. I also hope to post some stories of others that are doing well at managing Meniere’s disease.
I was diagnosed with Meniere’s in 1994 and have studied it since then. In the last eight years, I have implemented a strategy that allows me to live my life like one who does not have Meniere’s. I have lost some hearing in my right ear but other than that, I am able to live a normal life.
One of the many things I have learned in my studies is that what brings relief to one Meniere’s sufferer, might not bring relief to others. Meniere’s disease is a complicated ailment and there is no one-size-fits all treatment. I will share what works for me but know that what works for me may not work for you so I will share remedies that work for others too.
The other big lesson that I have learned is that there may not be one single silver bullet for you. There are three main weapons that I use against Meniere’s. If I were to use only one, I will have problems. This is a hypothesis that I have unwittingly tested.
The final big lesson is that I have to keep consistent with my treatment. I have learned the hard way that I have to keep up with my regimen whether I am suffering from Meniere’s symptoms or not. Twice I have stopped my routine after Meniere’s has gone into remission and both times the symptoms have returned.
Okay, enough talk. Let’s get busy…
Be strong!
Keep rolling and not spinning!
Thanks
I’ve got the spinning under control. Not everyone does. My heart goes out to them. I hope that I (and others) can help them with this blog
